RCMP in NS says there are now “In excess of 19 victims” confirmed dead in the Nova Scotia shooting rampage and they expect that number to rise as crime scenes are reported and examined.

The shooter, 51-year-old Gabriel Wortman, at one point wore a police uniform and drove a mock-up cruiser as he went on a killing spree across northern Nova Scotia.

Because of multiple crime scenes police are still piecing together what happened.

“Some of these crime scenes we’ve not even begun to process, and as I said, it’s an ongoing investigation,” Insp. Chris Leather told reporters.

The search led to multiple buildings that were being consumed by fire, a series of murder scenes that have yet to be cleared.

Jamie Blair and Greg Blair both lost their lives to the shooter.

Jamie Blair was best friends with my girlfriend. Jamie and her husband were killed by the shooter.

A post from a friend’s FB in Nova Scotia

“Countless families are in mourning today… the impact of this incident will extend from one end of the province to the other. As Nova Scotians, we have to do what we’re known for, and come together in times of need and support each other.”
