A 28-year-old man is facing six charges related to luring a child through Snapchat.
It was reported that in September 2020, a 28-year-old male sent a friend request via Snapchat to an 11-year-old female who was not known to him. The male used the Snapchat user name “likeshacklebolt.”
The two began communicating over Snapchat, and shortly thereafter, they began meeting in person. In October 2020, while driving around with the female in his vehicle, the male allegedly pulled into an alley, sexually assaulted her, then dropped her off at home.
On October 23, 2020, police arrested Kingsley Mayers, 28, and charged him with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, luring a child, indecent exposure to a person under 16 and distribute cannabis to a person under 18 years of age.
Mayers is also known to use the name Craig Alan Golka.
Investigators believe there may be additional complainants, and are encouraging anyone who may have been victimized by Mayers to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567or #377 from a mobile phone.
