It’s a huge donation to such a valuabe orgainzation our community of Fort Saskatchewan.
Over the weekend Medavie Health Services West is proud to present a cheque to representatives of the Fort Saskatchewan Food Bank for $12,500.
These funds will be used to meet the needs of the community through the ongoing work of the local food bank.
“We were thrilled that the Medavie Health Foundation recognizes the long-standing relationships Medavie Health Services West has developed in our communities through our long history of providing EMS to this region,” Terry Boettcher, General Manager with MHS West said. “The work of the Fort Saskatchewan Food Bank is critical to many during these difficult times and supporting the work of the food bank directly aligns with the values of Medavie as a whole. We are extremely proud to present this donation of $12,500 to this program.”
A news release from the Fort Saskatchewan Food Bank stated that this funding is part of Medavie’s $5M COVID-19 Response Fund, which was established to help communities across Canada address their immediate needs, as well as assist with much-need recovery efforts as organizations navigate through the pandemic and find new and innovative way to provide essential services.
